The 3-Year Movement Warranty
Your Marvin timepiece is accompanied by a comprehensive 3-year (36-month) limited warranty specifically covering the internal movement. This warranty is valid from the original date of purchase and ensures that your watch performs with the precision for which Marvin is renowned.
What is Covered?
This warranty covers manufacturing defects in the movement that prevent the watch from maintaining accurate time or functioning as specified. During the three-year period, Marvin will repair or replace the movement components at no cost to the owner, provided the defect is confirmed as a manufacturing issue by our technical team.
What is Not Covered?
To ensure transparency, please note that the warranty does not cover:
-
External Components: Natural wear and tear to the case, crystal (glass), strap, bracelet, or buckle (e.g., scratches, fading of materials).
-
Improper Handling: Damage resulting from accidents, misuse, neglect, or impact (e.g., dropping the watch).
-
Unauthorized Service: Any damage caused by repairs or opening of the watch case by an unauthorized third party.
-
Consumables: Battery life for quartz movements is considered a maintenance item and is not covered under the 3-year movement warranty.
-
Water Damage: Damage caused by water ingress due to improper use of the crown (e.g., failing to screw down the crown before water exposure).
Warranty FAQ
Q: How do I claim my warranty?
A: Please contact our customer support team at service@marvinwatch.com with your order number and a brief description of the issue. Our technicians will provide instructions on how to send your watch to an authorized service center.
Q: Do I need to register my watch for the 3-year warranty?
A: Your warranty is automatically activated from the date of purchase. We recommend keeping your original invoice or digital order confirmation as proof of purchase.
Q: Does the warranty cover the sapphire crystal if it cracks?
A: No. The warranty specifically covers the internal movement. The crystal is considered an external component and is only replaced under warranty if it is found to have a manufacturing defect upon initial delivery.
Q: Can I have my watch serviced by a local jeweler?
A: To maintain your 3-year warranty eligibility, any internal service must be performed by a Marvin-authorized service center. Opening the case back by an unauthorized party will void the warranty.
Q: Is the 3-year warranty transferable if I sell my watch?
A: Yes, the Marvin warranty stays with the watch. As long as the new owner has the original proof of purchase or the warranty card, they can enjoy the remainder of the 3-year coverage.
